Last posting for school year 08--09

We have one final concert for this school year! Everyone should have taken home the letter to your parents about our concert on Tuesday, May 19. If not, here are the most important points:
Be in the orchestra room for tuning at 6:30 on Tuesday, May 19
Wear concert attire - black pants or skirt, white top or dress shirt, black shoes
We will be wearing black ties.
Bring your music.
Bring your home cello or bass or make sure you have signed up to use the school
instrument.
The concert begins at 7pm.
BE SURE TO INVITE YOUR FAMILY!!!

Monday, May 18 and Tuesday, May 19 will be the last practice card

Last Extra Credit Question:
The question is the same as last week's. Look at last week's entry and here is a hint - check out the personnel for the band - that will help you figure out why I like this group.

Recital, Sunday, May 17, 4:00pm
I am playing in a recital at Broadway United Methodist Church, at 29th and Broadway in Indianapolis. You are all invited to attend. I will be playing "Spring" from Vivaldi's Four Seasons. The concert is in the Chapel and is free and open to the public. Hope you can attend.

Extra Credit Question:
As surprising as it may seem to you, my students, there is one particular hip hop band of which I am a fan. Google the band Jip Jop. For 10 extra credit points, see if you can discover why I like this band. There is a very specific reason. For 5 more points, listen to the tune that talks about a celestial body and email the name of the tune to me. Send all answers to cimboden@msdwt.k12.in.us
