Our 6th Grade Recital is next week. You should be working on the Beginning Tunes, Twinkle, Jolly, Housetop and BBW. I have included on this blog the information that you were to give to your parents about the recital.

We have been working very hard to be prepared for our premiere performance on Tuesday, November 18. Here is some information that everyone needs to know to make that evening a success. Students need to arrive in the orchestra room at 6:30. This will give me time to tune all 44 instruments. Students are to be dressed in white dress shirts (boys wear collared shirts) black dress pants or appropriate length dress skirt, black socks or sheer hose and black shoes. Ties are provided for the boys by the school. It would be helpful if the boys have learned to tie a tie or if a parent can help with the tie upon arrival. The orchestra is a performing ensemble and we need to look like it. If you are not dressed correctly, you will not be able to perform. Concerts are the culmination of the work that we have been doing in class since August. We need every player to make the music successful. Attendance is mandatory. If you have any questions, please call me at 259-5401 ext. 125 or email me at cimboden@msdwt.k12.in.us.
